PET Cards

PET is widely acknowledged as a more environmentally friendly material compared to standard PVC, primarily due to the absence of chlorine in its production process. Furthermore, PET boasts higher recyclability than PVC, and there is a well-established infrastructure for its recycling.

SPECIAL SHAPE

PET cards, also known as Composite PVC-PET cards, are crafted from a blend of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and PVC, a durable plastic resin. This unique composition provides exceptional durability and heat resistance, making them ideal for various applications.

Comprising 40% PET materials and 60% PVC, PET cards are engineered to withstand high temperatures, whether undergoing lamination or printing with retransfer ID card printers. Compared to traditional PVC cards, PET cards offer superior longevity and resilience. Their robust composite structure minimizes the risk of breakage, warping, cracking, or melting when exposed to elevated heat levels.

Opting for PET cards ensures top-notch quality without compromise. These cards are proficient in producing professional-grade ID security cards and are compatible with dye sublimation printers.

While PET cards may entail a slightly higher cost than standard PVC cards, their extended lifespan translates to fewer instances of reprinting due to damage. This cost-effectiveness makes them a prudent choice for employee, student, or customer ID cards.

Opt for PET Cards When

To facilitate the selection of the most appropriate card solution, take into account the following guidelines. Opt for PET cards when:

  • Lamination of ID cards is required.

  • Utilizing a retransfer printer.

  • Operating in harsh environmental or temperature conditions.

  • Frequently replacing damaged ID cards.

  • Seeking ID cards with a lifespan of 3 years or more.
